ORR Foundation
The Orr Foundation was created in 2004 by its founders, Cori and Kenneth Orr, for the purpose of funding educational programs, religious and racial appreciation, research for disease prevention and cures, as well as the fight against domestic violence.

Some causes to action for the Orr Foundation are:
  • Every year, 3 million children die of diseases that are completely preventable.
  • Only 70 percent of students graduate from high school – and just 50 percent of African –Americans and Hispanic students graduate from high School. Barely one-third of all students leave high school prepared for college or work.
  • Racial and religious prejudice which is preventable through education and understanding. Tolerance is not enough as it suggests that one merely cope with suffering with ones neighbors rather than appreciate who they are as a people.
  • Domestic violence in the U.S. accounts for more than 200,000 emergency room visits each year
  • According to an FBI report, domestic violence claims the lives of more than 4 women per day.
  • In 1990, the chance of developing breast cancer for a woman living on Long Island was one in nine. Today it is one in eight and in parts of Suffolk County, Long Island it is one in seven.
  • Autism: 1.5 million Americans are diagnosed with this disorder, 1 in every 250 births is diagnosed with Autism and the rate is growing by 10-17% annually.
